Jesse is about as close as you can get to a native San Franciscan without having been actually born here. He has been downright obsessed with the Emperor for over a decade; following the legend of Norton down all kinds of rabbit holes, and fascinating back alleys of San Francisco history. Jesse shoots things beautifully, conducts an edit like a symphony and directs people towards their very best performances.
James Buchanan
James is a British documentary filmmaker. He pitched up in San Francisco a few years ago (girl not job, if you wondered) and has promptly fallen in love with the place. He’s always on the lookout for an interesting history subject to transfer to the big or little screen and when the Emperor hove into view, he loved the cut of his jib. Behind the camera James writes a bit, produces a bit, and directs a bit.
